Manchester Evening News: Phil Foden gives reason for derby defeat to Manchester United

Foden: “There’s a lot of things to learn from and we’ve got to learn from our mistakes.

“No one wants to lose a derby, it’s the biggest day, we’re really gutted but we have to keep motivated for the next games coming up and keep our heads.

“We focus on every game even still the league, I wouldn’t say the focus is still there but obviously we still have two competitions left and if we win them it’ll be a successful year.

“We just have to try our hardest and see what happens.”

BBC: Phil Neville says England striker Ellen White has been shown lack of respect

Neville: “She [White] is one of the best strikers in the world. What has been disrespectful over the last days has been the lack of respect shown to Ellen White, for what she has achieved over the last eight months.

“I think she has set the bar really high for everybody else to challenge her. [Sunday] showed what Ellen White is all about - one chance, one goal.”
