A hotly anticipated fixture between two of the most exciting attacking sides in the Premier League didn’t disappoint, with both teams finding the net inside the opening ten minutes.

Son Heung-min finished off a swift counter-attack to initially hand the visitors the lead at the Etihad Stadium.

But the Spurs captain went from hero to villain soon after when he inadvertently turned Julian Alvarez’s free-kick into his own net.

Phil Foden turned the game on its head when he finished off a sumptuous team move after the half hour, with City having already gone close when Erling Haaland fired wide with the goal gaping before Jeremy Doku and Julian Alvarez both struck the woodwork.

The visitors regrouped after the break though and drew themselves level when Giovani Lo Celso curled home from the edge of the City area.

Neck and neck as the 75-minute mark approached, Rodrigo was inches from a third when he struck the top of the bar after meeting Rico Lewis’ cutback at the near post.

It looked like City had held our nerve to pick up the points when Grealish slotted home into an empty net from Haaland’s pass after Guardiola’s men had won the ball deep in the Spurs half.

But it was late heartbreak for the hosts, with Dejan Kulusevski heading home in stoppage time to ensure the points were shared.

A terrific encounter then had a dramatic end, with City incensed that play was pulled back deep into stoppage time for a foul on Haaland, despite the Norwegian sending Grealish clean through on goal.

Nonetheless, it ended all square at the Etihad Stadium as we set our sights on another tough assignment against Aston Villa on Wednesday evening.
