With all football currently on hiatus, we have delved into the stats to take a closer look at some of the numbers behind City’s 2019/20 campaign to date.
It’s a season that has already yielded two pieces of silverware in the shape of the Community Shield and Carabao Cup.
And it has also been one that has seen a number of youngsters step up to make their first team bows.

Here, we take a look at some of the most eye-catching numbers from our season so far.
In the Premier League from our 28 games to dates, Pep Guardiola’s side has racked up 68 goals from our 18 victories, the most by any side in the topflight.
That averages out at 2.43 goals per game with City having accumulated 542 shots in total in the league.
Guardiola’s side have also struck the woodwork a remarkable 19 times over the course of our 28 games to date.
City also top the league’s stats in terms of passes (18,925) which equates to 675.89 passes per match and a pass accuracy rating of 89 per cent.
We also top the rankings for crosses (718) and have also racked up 392 tackles to date as well as making 263 interceptions.
On an individual basis, Kevin De Bruyne - who has enjoyed a magnificent season - leads the way in terms of league assists, having accumulated an incredible 17 so far this term.

The Belgian is also out on his own in terms of shots for the season, having fired in 76 so far.
KDB’s midfield colleague Rodrigo has settled in seamlessly in his first season at the Club following last summer’s move from Atletico Madrid.
And Rodrigo’s impact is borne out by his second-place ranking in the stats for passes, the Spanish international having completed 1995 to date, with only Virgil van Dijk having made more.
Sergio Aguero, meanwhile, has also enjoyed another stellar campaign, overtaking Thierry Henry to become the Premier League’s all-time leading overseas scorer and also eclipsing Alan Shearer as the player with the highest number of top-flight hat-tricks.
And Kun’s 16-goal haul so far puts him third in the individual league goal-scoring charts.
Two more key City figures, Fernandinho and Ilkay Gundogan, also head the individual charts for tackles (43) and interceptions made (28) respectively.

From our seven games in the Champions League, meanwhile, City’s goals per game ratio is even more impressive than our Premier League tally.
We have accumulated 18 goals from our seven games to date, which equates to an average of 2.57 goals per match.
In total, City have chalked up 108 shots across our European campaign, along with 4945 passes, 126 crosses and 55 clearances.
Our goals-for tally also makes for impressive reading across both our successful defence of the Carabao Cup and progress through to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, where we are due to visit Newcastle United.
City’s six games in the League Cup, which culminated in our 2-1 Wembley win over Aston Vila earlier this month, saw Guardiola’s side chalk up 14 goals at an average of 2.33 goals per game.
Three FA Cup encounters to date so far, meanwhile, has seen us find the target nine times, for an average of three per game.
Taking into account our Community Shield triumph over Liverpool at the start of the season, which saw us triumph 5-4 on penalties after the scores were tied at 1-1, it all makes for impressive reading by any measure.
