A Julian Alavarez double before Rodrigo’s composed finish helped Pep Guardiola’s side to a 3-1 success over the Clarets at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.
It represented our eighth successive victory in all competitions as we moved to within four points of the division’s summit.

The meeting with Thomas Frank’s side is our first with the Bees this season and we will certainly need to be at our best if we are to extend our winning streak.

As a result, City’s coaching staff and players were hard at work in Manchester as our focus turns to the task of Brentford.
