It’s a double game week for Pep Guardiola’s side. First we travel to Tottenham on Wednesday 26 February with kick-off in the capital scheduled for 19:30 (UK).
As our fight for a place in the top four continues, a trip to a difficult Ange Postecoglu outfit will likely prove tricky and City will need to be at our very best to pick up another three points at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Then we return to the Etihad where we welcome Championship outfit Plymouth Argyle for our FA Cup clash on Saturday 1 March, with kick-off in Manchester set for 17:45 (UK).
Despite Argyle’s position in the second division - 22nd after 34 games - our cup opponents have done well to get to this stage of the competition and will be looking to cause an upset against the seven-time winners.
And following Sunday’s defeat to league leaders Liverpool, the squad were keen to be back out on the City Football Academy training pitches to prepare for two vital games.
The session included lots of ball work and high intensity whilst weathering the usual damp Manchester setting.
