The hosts kept probing and eventually, the deadlock was broken in the 30th minute from a set-piece, as Rodrigo headed expertly beyond Lukasz Fabianski from De Bruyne‘s curling corner.
On the hour mark, City were celebrating their second as De Bruyne drilled the ball into the net from inside the 18-yard box after neat link-up play with Bernardo Silva.
