The long wait is almost over.

City return to Premier League action on Wednesday, when we play host to Arsenal at the Etihad.

More than three months since we last played, we can’t wait to get back on the pitch - though everyone at the Club is just sorry that, for now, you can’t be with us due to the safety restrictions in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

But though none of us are able to be there at the Etihad, we have a new, exciting match-day presentation lined up for you, aimed at entertaining, informing and engaging all City fans as we resume Premier League action.

CITYZENS AT HOME

Every match-day, home and away, starting with Wednesday’s eagerly awaited resumption at home to Arsenal, we’ll kick off the big game build-up with a brand new programme called, fittingly, ‘We’re Not Really Here’, in honour of the chant synonymous with all City fans.

The title, of course, refers to the stadium anthem which has become the staple of all City fans for the past two plus decades.

Arguments and myths still rage about the precise origins of the chant.

But, irrespective of its true genesis, what isn’t in doubt is that We’re Not Really Here is a loud and proud vocal backdrop to City fixtures, both home and away, with the chant embedded in our Club culture.

It’s only fitting then that ‘We’re Not Really Here’ will be a live, hour-long interactive preview, with you, the fans, at the centre of things.

We will be inviting supporters to get in touch throughout the show, letting us know your views as well how you are experiencing the big matches behind closed doors.

Simply use the hashtag #WNRH to join the conversation and get involved to ensure that your views and voice is heard.

We’ve lined up a number of top presenters with Cel Spellman, Natalie Pike, Kyle Walker and Hugh Ferris all part of our team, with Cel and Kyle hosting Wednesday’s opening show.

What’s more, ‘We’re Not Really Here’ will also have a host of exciting big-name guests who will offer their thoughts and opinions on the key talking points ahead of that day’s game.

Among those joining us over the next few weeks will be Shaun Wright-Phillips, Micah Richards, Paul Dickov and Joleon Lescott, with Paul and Shaun joining us to kick things off in style for our Arsenal launch show.

Post-match, ‘We’re Not Really Here’ will then be straight back on air for another half hour of news and views, reflecting on all the action.

Our presenters and guests will offer their instant verdicts on the game while we also bring you all the immediate reaction from the boss, Pep Guardiola, and the City squad.

‘We’re Not Really Here’ will be accessible across all our platforms with fans able to access the show via our app and website along with our official Facebook, YouTube and Twitter channels.
