City clocked up our 1,000th Premier League game on the final day of the 2022/23 season.

We became the 10th team to reach the landmark following Arsenal (2018), Chelsea (2018), Everton (2018), Liverpool (2018), Manchester United (2018), Tottenham (2018), Aston Villa (2021), Newcastle United (2021) and West Ham United (2022).

Of our 1,000 games, we have won 501, drawn 215 and lost 284, with 1752 goals for and 1101 goals against.

There are six teams we have faced most in that time – 52 against Everton, Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.

The clubs we have faced the least are Swindon Town, Blackpool and Bradford City, who we have played two apiece. We beat Swindon and Blackpool twice with one win and one draw against the Bantams.

No surprise that the stadiums we have played most games in during those 1,000 matches are Etihad Stadium and Maine Road, with 380 and 120 respectively.

But, in terms of opposition grounds, next up are four – Goodison Park, Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge and Anfield with 26 apiece. Then it’s St James’s Park and Villa Park with 23, White Hart Lane with 20 and Selhurst Park alongside Emirates Stadium with 17.

In terms of grounds where we have won the most games, again Etihad Stadium and Maine Road are top with 256 and 41 respectively before St James’s Park with 11, Villa Park and Goodison Park with 10 and then Selhurst Park and The Hawthorns with nine and Old Trafford and Craven Cottage with eight.

Our biggest win at home was the 8-0 victory against Watford from September 2019 while away it was 6-0 against Watford in September 2017.
