Find out who the scout has championed in Fantasy Premier League this weekend before City’s final game ahead of the World Cup break.

The games have come thick and fast across autumn and winter, and we enter the meeting with Brentford on Saturday off the back of an impressive Carabao Cup victory over Chelsea on Wednesday.

By securing our place in Round Four, we extended our winning streak in all competitions to five matches, something City will be looking to prolong against the Bees.

Thomas Frank’s side currently sit 11th in the Premier League table after starting the season with three wins, seven draws and four losses.

As the game week represents the last before the World Cup, FPL managers will be looking to maximise their points haul this weekend.

Check out our latest Scout Report below prior to Saturday’s 11:00am deadline.

CITY STAR

A rested Joao Cancelo (£7.4m) can deliver another huge haul at home in Gameweek 16 of Fantasy Premier League before the season breaks for the FIFA World Cup.

The Portuguese was an unused substitute in City’s 2-0 EFL Cup win over Chelsea in midweek.

That boosts his chances of returning to the starting XI at home to Brentford on Saturday lunchtime.

Cancelo’s multiple routes to returns make him one of our most reliable players for big scores in Fantasy.

He has combined two goals and two assists with three clean sheets and five bonus points in his seven home outings this term.

Indeed, Cancelo’s total of three double-figure returns at home this season is second only to the four of Erling Haaland (£12.2m) for Pep Guardiola’s side.

OPPONENT TO WATCH

Ivan Toney (£7.4m) is the Bees’ main threat and has scored nine goals in all competitions this season. He bagged a brace in Brentford’s last victory over Brighton in October, which have proved to be his last goals in the Premier League so far.

DIFFERENTIALS

Given the yellow flags currently on Aleksandar Mitrovic (£6.8m) and Callum Wilson (£7.5m), FPL managers may be in the market for a budget striker. Look no further than AFC Bournemouth’s 5.5 per cent-owned Dominic Solanke (£5.8m).

Whilst not a true differential because of his ownership, Ivan Perisic (£5.5m) springs to mind as a punt because of the Spurs wingback rotation.
