A winless run of seven matches might have derailed Graham Potters’ side’s European prospects, but they’ve since picked up impressive victories away to Arsenal and Spurs in their most recent outings.

With the games coming thick and fast, the Scout is on hand once again to ease those dilemmas in our latest report...

City Star

Joao Cancelo’s (£7.0m) potential at both ends of the pitch can continue to reward managers as Manchester City entertain Brighton & Hove Albion in Gameweek 33 of Fantasy Premier League.

The full-back has combined one goal and nine assists with 16 clean sheets over his 29 appearances.

That has earned Cancelo 173 points, placing him second among defenders and fourth in the overall player standings.

The underlying numbers highlight the Portuguese’s major attacking threat.

His totals of 62 shots and 20 shots on target are both more than any other defender in 2021/22 Fantasy.

Indeed, Cancelo is ranked top for attempts on goal for Man City, just ahead of the 59 shots of Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m).

Opponent to watch

The fit-again Enock Mwepu (£5.9m) could be Brighton’s main threat, producing one goal and four assists across his last three starts.

Star Man: Mwepu’s 14-point haul against Arsenal in the Seagulls’ most recent outing earned him a spot in the FPL Team of the Week - the first Brighton player to make the XI since February.

Other Premier League pick

Elsewhere, Bruno Fernandes (£11.6m) and James Maddison (£7.0m) are among the standout armband options, with both scheduled to play twice.

Manchester United’s Fernandes faces Norwich City and Liverpool and has produced two of his four double-figure hauls this season in his last six matches.

Maddison visits Newcastle United and Everton on the back of two goals and two assists in his previous five outings.
