PREVIOUS MEETING
City returned to the top of the Premier League table with a 3-0 win over Graham Potter’s Brighton at the Etihad back in April 2022.
Pep Guardiola’s side had to wait until the second half to find the breakthrough after dominating proceedings in the opening 45 minutes.
Riyad Mahrez’s chip had enough purchase on it to find its way into the back of the net, despite the best efforts of the Seagulls’ defence.
Phil Foden followed that up with a strike of his own, a short corner by Mahrez found the England international on the edge of the box and his effort took a deflection which wrong-footed Robert Sanchez.
And Bernardo Silva rounded the scoring off with a delightful first-time effort with eight minutes to go.
