Here’s a breakdown of all the activities happening:
This game will be our Remembrance match, when we reflect on the end of the First World War and honour members of the armed forces who have lost their lives in service.
Former players, including Mike Summerbee OBE, will join a ceremonial wreath-laying in the Memorial Garden.
Before kick-off, managers Enzo Maresca and Fabian Hürzeler will each lay a wreath on the pitch, followed by a reading of the Ode to Remembrance. Alistair Smith, professional bugle player and City supporter, will perform The Last Post during the period of silence.
A poppy banner will be displayed on the centre circle and removed afterwards by 11 military veterans from City in the Community’s programme. The Royal British Legion’s poppy creative will feature across the stadium’s LED assets, and Manchester Remembers-branded corner flags will be in place. Players will also wear commemorative shirts featuring a poppy on the front.
As part of City in the Community’s 40-year-anniversary celebrations, 11 participants from its Military Veterans programme will take on an annual triathlon challenge: a 40km run, 40km row and 40km cycle.
They will then join the matchday Remembrance activities, including the pre-match memorial. The group is aiming to raise £1,986 in recognition of CITC’s 40 years, with donations helping the charity empower healthier lives through football. Manchester City will match fan donations to CITC pound-for-pound throughout the 2026/27 season, up to a total of £200,000.
Elsewhere, on the BYD Stage, indie pop band, Stanleys will perform five sets. The Matchday Show will include a Halloween-themed competition, inviting younger fans to paint their guardian’s face for the chance to win a signed shirt. This week’s guests include Joleon Lescott, Steph Houghton and Pablo Zabaleta as well as international singer song writer Bipolar Sunshine and musician and City fan, Mike Joyce.
We will be showing both the early and later Premier League kick-offs on the big LED screen in Medlock Square pre-match and post-match, where fans can congregate and access the bars and restaurants in the Square.
Our Man City Kids Fanzone will be based on the CFA indoor pitch, with a Halloween theme across the activities. Moonchester and Moonbeam will welcome young supporters and host a fancy-dress competition for junior fans aged 5–12. The best-dressed fan will win a money-can’t-buy matchday experience. There will also be an apple-bobbing competition for parents, a mummy-dressing challenge, Halloween-themed food vendors and trick-or-treating with our Playmakers. Fans can take photos with all four men’s and women’s trophies and enjoy the usual activities and inflatables.
Playmakers in yellow jackets will also be handing out Halloween treats around the stadium’s whilst supporters arriving at Medlock Square will be greeted by spooky stilt walkers dressed as Jack and Sally Skellington.
At half-time, four lucky fans will take to the pitch for a lively pumpkin-head race, racing across three quarters of the pitch with a hollow pumpkin balanced on their head.
