The nominees
Erling Haaland enjoyed another superb month for the Blues.
He started October with a brace away to Monaco, before muscling his way through the Brentford defence to score the only goal in our 1-0 win at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The Norwegian followed that by scoring twice in five minutes in the 2-0 win over Everton and then scored our first goal in the 2-0 Champions League victory over Villarreal.
Matheus Nunes also enjoyed a fine October.
The Portuguese has impressed at right-back with a number of sparkling performances.
Finally, Nico is another strong candidate for this month’s award.
The young Spaniard has been neat and tidy in possession, becoming a vital part of the Blues’ midfield and deputising – when needed – for Rodri.
Nico, like Nunes, is looking for his first Etihad Player of the Month award.
