It's time to vote for your Etihad Player of the Month!

And the October nominees - for the first time - are all part of our defensive unit.

The Blues kept five clean sheets in October, and our defence played superb throughout, particularly in several tough situations.

So, here are the three candidates up for your vote...

Nathan Ake

The Dutch defender has been superb all season rarely putting a foot wrong.

It’s not hard to see why Pep Guardiola rates him so highly and he is finding his best form just ahead of this winter’s World Cup.

Ake played five times in October, impressing each time he played, and he will be hoping for his first Etihad award.

Manuel Akanji

Another rock of the City defence, few can fail to have been impressed by Akanji’s start to life in English football.

City kept four clean sheets in seven of the games the Swiss star played in, and as ever, he performed at high levels with a minimum of fuss.

But can he land his first Etihad Player of the Month award?

Ederson

Considering his continual excellence, Ederson is a rare candidate in our Etihad monthly prize.

With so many creative players and goal-scorers grabbing the headlines, the brilliant Brazilian’s performances sometimes go under the radar.

But even by his lofty standards, October was an exceptional month for ‘Eddy’.

Not only did he keep four clean sheets, he also made an assist for Erling Haaland‘s opener against Brighton with a wonderful 60-yard pass.

And his saves against Mo Salah, Leandro Trossard and Youri Tielemans were quite breathtaking.
