The Saints currently sit ninth in the Premier League and are unbeaten in each of their last seven matches in all competitions.

Ralph Hassenhuttl’s side earned their spot in the last eight with a 3-1 win over West Ham at St. Mary’s Stadium.

Our most recent meeting ended in a hard-fought 1-1 draw in January, with Aymeric Laporte’s second half header earning City a share of the spoils on the south coast.

However, we have not faced Southampton in the FA Cup since 2007, when goals from Darius Vassell, Joey Barton and DaMarcus Beasley earned Stuart Pearce’s side a 3-1 win.

Guardiola‘s men earned our place quarter-finals with a 2-0 win away to Championship side Peterborough United, while we have also got the better of Swindon Town and Fulham across the 2021/22 tournament so far.

City are aiming to win the FA Cup for a seventh time in our history, with our most recent triumph coming in 2019.

Since getting the better of Watford that year, Guardiola‘s men have reached successive semi-finals in each of the last two instalments of the famous competition.

Selected matches will be shown both on BBC and ITV Sport, with the chosen ties confirmed later in the month.
