Manchester City will host Huddersfield Town in the third round of the FA Cup.

We take on the Championship side at the Etihad Stadium on the weekend of 5/8 January.

The draw took place on ITV ahead of Eastleigh’s fixture with Reading in the second round.

Selected matches will be shown both on BBC and ITV Sport, with TV selections expected to be confirmed at some stage in December.

The Terriers currently sit 21st in the second tier, with our most recent encounter taking place during their last season in the top flight in 2018/19.

On that occasion, goals from Danilo, Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane earned us a 3-0 win at the John Smith’s Stadium.

The third round sees all clubs from the top two tiers in the English football pyramid, the Premier League and Championship, enter the competition.

They are then joined by the 20 clubs who win their games over the weekend in the previous round.

In total, 64 clubs will enter the draw (though there will be a handful of games to be replayed) and 32 third round ties will take place.

Keep across mancity.com and the official Man City app for any fixture updates as they’re announced.
