The lads were back at the City Football Academy applying the finishing touches to preparations ahead of our Barclays Premier League fixture against Fulham on Saturday.

City host the Cottagers at the Etihad Stadium with the game kicking off at 15:00 (UK), as we look to keep the pressure on league leaders Arsenal.

We sit two points behind the Gunners after 12 games. But a win on Saturday would see us regain top spot, as Mikel Arteta’s men are not in action until Sunday when they travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea.

Our weekend opponents, Fulham have hit the ground running this season and find themselves in seventh place, just five points off the top four.

MATCH PREVIEW | CITY V FULHAM

Pep Guardiola stated in his press conference that a decision would be made on Erling Haaland’s fitness after watching him train on Friday and the boss confirmed defender Manuel Akanji had recovered well after being forced off with a knock in our victory over Leicester City last weekend.

Kalvin Phillips and Kyle Walker are recovering well, but Saturday’s game will come too soon for the England duo.
