Pep Guardiola’s squad enjoyed a memorable trip to Japan and South Korea ahead of the 2023/24 season.
On the pitch, there were three entertaining games to help get us ready for the new campaign which begins with the Community Shield against Arsenal on Sunday at 16:00 (UK).
We started with a 5-3 victory in Tokyo against Yokohama F. Marinos with John Stones, Julian Alvarez, Erling Haaland (twice) and Rodrigo on the scoresheet.
City returned to the Japan National Stadium where Aymeric Laporte’s late goal secured a 2-1 win over Bayern Munich after James McAtee had opened the scoring.
The next leg of the tour saw us fly to South Korea where we were narrowly beaten by Atletico Madrid 2-1 in Seoul.
Away from the pitch the squad were also busy, launching our new third kit and meeting fans while Nathan Ake signed a contract extension.
