Across the entirety of the pause in domestic action, the global scene had a distinct City-centric feel to it with a swathe of familiar faces competing against each other.

Kevin De Bruyne’s Belgium battled for Nations League supremacy against Nathan Ake’s Netherlands, while Gundogan came up against John Stones, Phil Foden and Kyle Walker as England drew with Germany.

The Club was also well represented by England under-21s as, former City under-18s coach, Lee Carsley called up seven of our academy products for fixtures against Italy U21 and Germany U21.
