City have been drawn at home to Chelsea in the third round of the FA Cup.

The tie against our Premier League rivals will be played at the Etihad over the weekend of the 6/9 January.

The draw took place on BBC2 tonight at Anfield with former England defender Mark Wright and ex-Lioness Rachel Brown-Finnis drawing the balls.

City most recently lifted the famous trophy in 2019 and have been semi-finalists for the past three seasons.

Selected matches will be shown both on BBC and ITV Sport, with TV selections expected to be confirmed at some stage in December.

We have already met the Stamford Bridge side in the Carabao Cup this season, recording a 2-0 win over Graham Potter’s side earlier this month.

And the tie will come hard on the heels of the Premier League clash between the two which will take place at Stamford Bridge on Thursday, January 5.

We have also met twice in the FA Cup semi-finals in the past decade, Chelsea winning 1-0 in 2021 but City recording a 2-1 win at Wembley in 2013 while the Londoners beat us in a fifth round tie back in 2016.
