Earlier in the week, City returned to Premier League action following our Club World Cup success with a trip to Goodison Park.
Jack Harrison gave the Toffees the lead before second half goals from Phil Foden, Julian Alvarez and Bernardo Silva inspired a 3-1 comeback win to move City up to fourth in the Premier League table.
But the boys in blue must prioritise recovery before quickly turning out attention to our final task of 2023, welcoming Sheffield United to the Etihad Stadium.
With City taking on Chris Wilder’s side at 15:00 (UK) on Saturday 30 December, Guardiola’s squad were back at the City Football Academy to partake in a recovery session before taking to the pitches to begin preparations for our clash with Sheffield United.
The squad were full of energy as they look to end 2023 with another fantastic performance!
