Pep Guardiola’s squad are still on the Club’s pre-season tour of the United States while our Elite Development Squad and Under-18s have returned from Portugal to continue working hard at the City Football Academy before their respective campaigns begin.
And this week also marks the return of our Women’s team, with Gareth Taylor and all of his players who aren’t involved in the Paris Olympics back in Manchester ahead of the pre-season tour to Australia.

MONDAY
Women’s team returns | Pep Guardiola and player press conference – 22:45 (UK)
The City Football Academy will welcome the return of Gareth Taylor’s team on Monday morning with the team back for their first pre-season training sessions since the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.
The team will be hard at work for the next couple of weeks before the squad travel to Perth, Australia for two pre-season friendlies.
Content on the Women’s team and their preparation for the 2024/25 campaign will be available on mancity.com and the Official Man City App throughout this week.
Over in the States, after City’s latest pre-season friendly – which saw the boys in Blue play out a 3-2 defeat to AC Milan – the team travelled to Orlando, Florida for the Club’s third fixture on Tour.
We take on Barcelona in the early hours of Wednesday morning and prior to kick-off, the boss and one of his players will field questions from the local and international media at 22:45 (UK) on Monday 29 July.
You’ll be able to watch the press conference live on mancity.com and on the Official Man City App, with written and video recaps available shortly after it has concluded.
TUESDAY
Ukraine v Argentina – Stade de Lyon, Decines-Charpieu – 17:00 (UK)
In France, the 2024 Paris Olympics continues. Julian Alvarez will once again be taking centre stage for Argentina when they take on Ukraine.
A match report of how Alvarez’s Argentina got on will be available shortly after the game has finished.
WEDNESDAY
Barcelona v City – Camping World Stadium, Orlando – 00:00 (UK)
Kicking-off in the very early hours of Wednesday, our friendly encounter with Spanish giants Barcelona will be live on CITY+ for fans in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Japan, Norway, Sweden and United Arab Emirates.

For the final time of City’s 2024 US Tour, Pep Guardiola will answer questions from the media in Ohio, previewing the Club’s fourth and final pre-season friendly.
We take on fellow Premier League club Chelsea on Saturday evening at the Ohio Stadium.
The boss will be joined by a player in the press conference which you’ll be able to watch live on mancity.com and on the Official Man City App.
SATURDAY
City v Chelsea – Ohio Stadium, Ohio – 22:30 (UK)
Our final game on tour will see City go toe-to-toe with one of Pep Guardiola’s former teams, Barcelona.
The Ohio Stadium will host the game with kick-off at 22:30 (UK).
