There’s plenty happening on the international scene, with the World Cup group stages in full flow.
But there’s lots to look forward to from a City perspective, too, over the course of a busy week.
There are three games being screened live on CITY+ and Recast.
We have City v Stoke in Tuesday’s Under-17 Premier League Cup, Sunderland v City in an Under-18 Premier League North top-of-the-table clash and City v Sunderland in the FA Women’s Continental Cup.

World Cup fever begins for Manchester City today as our players begin their campaign over in Qatar.
John Stones, Jack Grealish, Phil Foden and Kalvin Phillips will be pushing to be involved in England’s opening Group B game against Iran.
But Gareth Southgate hinted in his pre-match press conference that the match will probably come too soon for Kyle Walker.
It kicks off at 13:00 (UK) at Khalifa International Stadium.
In Group A, Nathan Ake is with Netherlands for the opening game against Senegal, which kicks off at 16:00 (UK) at Al Thumama Stadium.
TUESDAY
Argentina v Saudi Arabia | World Cup | 10:00
City v Stoke | Under-17 Premier League Cup | 11.30 | Live on CITY+ & Recast
The men’s team may be on international duty at present but you can still get your City fix elsewhere across the club.
How about City v Stoke in the Under-17 Premier League Cup, which takes place at our Academy Stadium, kick-off 11:30 (UK).
The game will be streamed live on CITY+ and Recast so make sure you tune in to see our starlets in action.
Julian Alvarez is the man in focus on Tuesday as he forms part of the Argentina squad who face Saudi Arabia in the first game of their World Cup campaign.
His Group C game kicks off at 10:00 (UK) at Lusail Stadium.
WEDNESDAY

Spain v Costa Rica | World Cup | 16:00
Belgium v Canada | World Cup | 19:00
We have a host of men’s players set for action on Wednesday, as Germany, Spain and Belgium open their World Cup campaign.
Ilkay Gundogan’s Germany take on Japan in Group E with a 13.00 (UK) kick-off at Khalifa International Stadium.
WORLD CUP 2022: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Rodri and Aymeric Laporte are with Spain, in Group E alongside Germany, for their debut clash with Costa Rica, which kicks off at 16:00 (UK) at Al Thumama Stadium.
Belgium and Kevin De Bruyne open up in Group F against Canada, their Al Rayyan Stadium match kicking off at 19:00 (UK).
THURSDAY
Switzerland v Cameroon | World Cup | 10:00
Portugal v Ghana | World Cup | 16:00
Brazil v Serbia | World Cup | 19:00
Thursday is another busy day for our City men’s players as Manuel Akanji, Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva, Joao Cancelo and Ederson look forward to action.
Akanji’s Switzerland take on Cameroon in Group G, with a 10:00 (UK) start in Al Janoub Stadium.
Dias, Bernardo and Cancelo’s Portugal face Ghana in H, the Stadium 974 clash kicking off at 16:00 (UK).
Finally, Ederson is with Brazil for their 19:00 (UK) opener in Group G against Serbia in Lusail Stadium.
FRIDAY

England v USA | World Cup | 19:00
Gareth Taylor will look ahead to our latest FA Women’s Continental Cup match against Sunderland.
Taylor’s team are in red hot form after winning six games in succession – five in the WSL and a 6-0 win over Blackburn Rovers in the Conti Cup.
We’re currently second in the Conti Cup Group B, behind Liverpool on the summit and ahead of Leicester City in third. Sunderland are fourth with Blackburn fifth.

At the World Cup, it’s Matchday 2 on Friday for several of our stars.

Our Under-18 team are set for an exciting top-of-the-table clash in Under-18 Premier League North on Saturday – and it’s available to watch live on CITY+ & Recast.
Following a solid victory at Stoke this past weekend, City are now second in the table, with 16 points from eight games.
Our weekend opponents, Sunderland, are top with 19 points from eight games – so this 11:30 (UK) encounter, at the Academy of Light, should be exciting and competitive.
