Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Inter in the UEFA Champions League final was Pep Guardiola’s 300th as Manchester City manager.

In doing so, he’s reached the incredible milestone faster than any other manager in English top-flight history.

The Catalan achieved the feat in just 413 competitive fixtures, surpassing the previous record, shared by former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and Liverpool boss Bob Paisley, by 102 matches.

Other notable names on that illustrious list of managers to win 300 matches as an English top-flight club include Don Revie (524), Sir Alex Ferguson (556), Sir Matt Busby (577) and Brian Clough (617).

It’s the latest achievement in what has been a truly remarkable tenure at the Etihad Stadium for Guardiola.
