Training: Recovery mode on

Thursday’s training session took at place at the CFA in the wake of City booking their place in round four of the Carabao Cup.

In the hunt of our ninth League Cup success, we beat Chelsea 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium to progress to the last 16.

A sublime Riyad Mahrez free-kick and Julian Alvarez’s third goal in as many games saw us overcome Graham Potter’s side.

And we’ll be aiming for a similar result against Brentford this Saturday as the Premier League reaches its climax before the World Cup hiatus.

Due to the action-packed schedule this autumn and winter, those involved in Wednesday’s victory recovered in today’s session two-days ahead of our tough assignment against the Bees.
