Joao Cancelo, Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling have each earned a spot in the team courtesy of their performances in City’s 5-0 win away to Sporting CP.
Pep Guardiola‘s men became the first side in Champions League history to lead a knockout game by four goals at half-time, while our sixth successive knockout away win is also a record.
Bernardo, Foden, Mahrez and Sterling were all on target in Lisbon, while Cancelo also put in a typically commanding display from left-back.
City boast the largest representation in the latest team of the week, including all of the three available midfield slots.
Congratulations to each of our City on their inclusion in the Champions League team of the week!
