Gomez played the full 90 minutes as City defeated Sheffield United 3-0 at Wembley to reach the prestigious showpiece.
The Spanish Under-21 international impressed in his 19th appearance across 2022/23.
And the left sided starlet was thrilled to help his team progress.
He said: “We are very happy.
“We played a good game against a difficult team.
“They played really good in the first half and defended well. We played with passion with the ball and controlled it.
“In the second half we created a lot of chances and scored the goals.
“It’s always a pleasure to play with these teammates and at this stadium. We have to keep going.”
City now switch focus back to the Premier League.
We take on Arsenal this Wednesday in a huge top-flight game with City chasing down the Gunners.
City are five points behind Mikel Arteta’s men with two games in hand but could reduce that down to two if we emerge victorious at the Etihad.
Gomez is relishing the big match.
He added: “We have to focus on Wednesday now and prepare for the game.
“We are focusing game by game.”
