Aged 22 and with just 24 Premier League appearances so far, Erling Haaland has now scored more Premier League goals in one season than any other City player.
He hit the milestone when he scored against Bournemouth last weekend.
It was the Norwegian striker’s 27th league goal of an-already superb first season in English football and there is a very strong likelihood he will add many more before the campaign has ended.
Haaland tops our list of players who have bagged at least 20 Premier League goals for City, displacing Club legend Sergio Aguero at the summit having equalled the Argentine’s haul with his goal against Arsenal last month.
His close-range finish at the Vitality Stadium took him to the top of a very illustrious and exclusive club that only has five members to date.

Games: 24 Goals: 27 (2022/23)
Haaland averages just 72 minutes per goal, better than any previous City striker.
26 of his goals have been scored inside the box, with his only strike outside being his low 25-yard drive away to Wolves.
He has scored five headed goals, six with his right foot and 16 with his left.
The Norway star has converted all four penalties he’s taken and created four goals for his team-mates.
His total in all competitions is 33 from 33 games and his total career stats to date are 233 appearances and 188 goals – 254 appearances and 209 goals if you include his national team stats.
Phenomenal.
Sergio Aguero
Games: 33 Goals: 26 (2014/15)
Sergio’s average goal-per-minute ratio for the 2014/15 campaign was 98 minutes.
He played a total of 2539 minutes and bagged 24 of his goals inside the box and two from outside.
The majority of his strikes – 18 – came from his lethal right-foot, with just one headed effort.
Our all-time record goal-scorer made eight assists for his team-mates during a prolific campaign that ended with no silverware.
Kun bagged 32 goals in all competitions from 42 games.
Sergio Aguero
Games: 30 Goals: 24 (2015/16)
Injuries restricted Aguero’s appearances during 2015/16, though he still bagged 24 goals in just 30 Premier League games.
His goals-per-minute average increased just one minute more at 99 per goal.
Kun played 44 times in all competitions, scoring 29 goals in total.
Sergio Aguero
Games: 34 Goals: 23 (2011/12)
Sergio Aguero became the second Argentine to pass the 20-goal mark for City following Carlos Tevez’s successive seasons as top scorer.
In his first year as a City player, Aguero scored 30 goals in all competitions, playing 48 times.
His 23 Premier League goals proved to be the foundation of a first Premier League title for City, with the 23rd strike sealing that dramatic comeback against QPR and winning the title with 93 minutes and 20 seconds on the clock.
He played 2600 minutes of league football that campaign, averaging 113 minutes per goal.
Not a bad start to life with the Blues!
Carlos Tevez
Games: 35 Goals: 23 (2009/10)
Carlos Tevez became the first Manchester City player to score more than 20 Premier League goals in a season when he bagged 23 from 35 matches in 2009/10.
The Argentina star scored 29 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions during a magnificent first campaign with City that ended with no silverware.
Tevez averaged one Premier League goal every 125 minutes and made seven assists for his team-mates.

In 2017/18 and 2018/19, Aguero again top-scored with 21 goals in each campaign.
His 20 goals in 2016/17 mean he hit 20 Premier League goals or more in six of his 10 seasons as a City player, which is an incredible achievement.
Tevez backed up his first year as a City player with 20 goals from 31 appearances in 2010/11 and his first 86 games in all competitions yielded 52 goals.
The only other two City players to make it to 20 Premier League goals are Yaya Toure in 2013/14 when the Ivorian midfielder hist 20 in 35 games, and Raheem Sterling in 2019/20, with the England forward bagging 20 from 33 starts.
