In the wake of Sunday’s fine 2-0 semi-final win over Nottingham Forest which booked our ticket to the May showpiece where we will meet Crystal Palace, the mood was buoyant amongst Pep Guardiola’s squad as the players got straight back to business.
Appropriately enough, Monday’s session took place amidst a backdrop of glorious late April sunshine and clear blue skies.
The focus for City is now firmly trained on this Friday’s return to Premier League action when we will play host to Wolves in our penultimate home clash at the Etihad, kick-off 20.00pm (UK).
And coming on the back of that Forest win, there was an extra spring in the players’ step as City look to maintain our push for a top-five finish and with it qualification into next season’s Champions League!
