Training: City finalise preparations ahead of Newcastle trip

City finalised preparations at the CFA on Friday ahead of Saturday’s return to Premier League action away at Newcastle United.

Pep Guardiola’s squad resume the defence of our league crown when we travel to the North East to lock horns with Eddie Howe’s Magpies in game that kicks off at 17.30pm (UK).

The teatime visit to St James’ Park promises to be another tough encounter with the Newcastle squad packed with quality and set to be roared on by a full house.

However, City will step out full of confidence having kicked off 2024 in emphatic fashion last weekend with a 5-0 FA Cup third round win over Huddersfield Town.

And as our gallery demonstrates, the squad were in great spirits as they went about their work at the CFA prior to heading up to Newcastle.
