Pep Guardiola’s first team squad will remain in Manchester and continue their pre-season preparations at the City Football Academy. There are no plans to replace the ESTAC friendly with another pre-season fixture.
As announced earlier, City will face Preston North End at the Academy Stadium in a behind closed doors friendly on Tuesday 27 July, and will then travel to Wembley Stadium for the Community Shield, where we face Leicester City on Saturday 7 August.
