City make eight changes from the side that started against Arsenal last week as Pep Guardiola shuffles his pack against Burnley.

Team notes

Joao Cancelo, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Nicolas Otamendi, Fernandinho, Rodrigo, Phil Foden, Bernardo, and Sergio Aguero are the eight players recalled.

City look to strengthen second spot

With Leicester held by Watford at the weekend, City can go a long way to claiming second spot in the Premier League this season.

Though victory would shave another three points off Liverpool’s lead, the Merseysiders would still command a 20-point gap.

This is Burnley’s first game since the restart.
