Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne were both on target as City sealed a tight 2-0 Premier League win over Burnley at the Etihad Stadium.

We started the brighter of the two sides, with Pep Guardiola‘s ranks finding particular joy down the visitors’ left flank in the game’s early stages.

And we found ourselves ahead after 12 minutes, when Bernardo scored from close-range after Burnley stopper Nick Pope saved Phil Foden‘s initial shot.

It looked as though we would continue our impressive scoring record against Sean Dyche’s side, but Burnley responded well to going behind, and we had to hold firm to ensure we went in ahead at the break.

We continued to push forward after the restart, looking for a second goal to ease the nerves inside the Etihad, and it finally came when De Bruyne rifled a left-footed screamer past Pope to put the result beyond doubt.
