Match gallery: City cruise to victory over Everton

The best images from the Etihad Stadium as goals from Raheem Sterling, a rocket from Rodrigo and Bernardo Silva gave us three goals and three points against Everton.

It was tense during the opening exchanges as City worked hard to find a breakthrough, with Ilkay Gundogan sending a header onto the top of the crossbar and VAR overturning a penalty decision after Sterling collided with Michael Keane

Pep Guardiola‘s men grabbed the lead on the stroke of half-time when a gorgeous pass from Joao Cancelo was turned home by Sterling and we consolidated our position when Rodrigo rifled a 25-yard drive into the top corner.

That wouldn’t be the end of the action, with Silva latching onto Cole Palmer‘s deflected shot and sliding it under Jordan Pickford for our third to round off a great afternoon for the defending champions.
