Find out who the Scout has tipped for Manchester Derby success in our latest Fantasy Premier League Scout Report.

Pep Guardiola‘s men welcome Manchester United to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday 6 March, with kick-off scheduled for 16:30 (UK).

Depending on results elsewhere, victory in the first Manchester Derby to be played in front of our home crowd since January 2020 could propel City nine points clear at the Premier League summit.

November’s 2-0 win at Old Trafford means the hosts currently hold the local bragging rights, and have won 21 of our last 24 matches.

However, the home side has only tasted victory in three of the last 17 meetings between the two sides, with United also unbeaten on the road since a 4-1 defeat to Watford in November 2021.

It leaves FPL managers with plenty to ponder ahead of Saturday’s 11:00 deadline.

As always though, the Scout is on hand to ease those selection dilemmas with some tips ahead of the weekend.

City star

Joao Cancelo’s (£7.1m) multiple routes to returns can reward Fantasy Premier League managers in the Manchester Derby in Gameweek 28.

The Manchester City full-back ranks fourth overall in the player standings on 151 points, combining a goal and eight assists with 14 clean sheets and 23 bonus points.

Cancelo was the top performer for Pep Guardiola’s side in a 2-0 win at Old Trafford earlier this season.

He supplied two assists to claim 14 points, one of his six double-figure scores in 2021/22.

The underlying numbers suggest Cancelo can deliver another big haul at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

His 12 shots in the last four Gameweeks rank top among defenders and are more than any other City player.

Opponent to watch

Bruno Fernandes (£11.7m) is the visitors’ danger man, with two goals, an assist and 25 points in his previous three outings.

Provider: According to FPL indicators, Bruno Fernandes has been the most creative midfielder in the Premier League so far this season. The creativity index assesses player performance in terms of producing goalscoring opportunities for teammates.

Elsewhere, there are eight sides scheduled to play twice in Gameweek 28, with Philippe Coutinho (£7.4m) and Antonio Rudiger (£6.1m) among the best captain picks.

Coutinho faces Southampton and Leeds United having averaged 5.3 points per match since joining Aston Villa.

Chelsea centre-back Rudiger visits two of the bottom three clubs, Burnley and Norwich City.
