When and where

City welcome the Hornets to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday 23 April, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 (UK).

The match will not be broadcast live in the UK but key moments of the action can be accessed on Twitter: @ManCity.

Man City app coverage

As always, the Man City app will offer comprehensive coverage of our Premier League showdown across the afternoon and evening.

Our Matchday Centre will begin at 13:00, offering detailed analysis, statistics and text commentary right through until Pep Guardiola’s post-match press conference, while Matchday Live will offer a City-centric take on proceedings from one hour prior to kick-off.

injury news

Guardiola says he will make a late decision whether Nathan Ake, John Stones and Kyle Walker will be involved at the Etihad.

Walker has missed the last two games with an injury he suffered against Atletico Madrid in the second leg of our Champions League quarter final.

Ake and Stones both came off early against Brighton on Wednesday, with the Dutchman appearing to have a problem with his leg, whilst his defensive partner reported muscle tightness. 

Guardiola says all three be assessed before the game.

City turned on the style at Vicarage Road back in December, moving top of the Premier League for the first time this season with a deserved 3-1 victory.

Raheem Sterling headed home from close-range to open the scoring inside four minutes, before Bernardo Silva doubled our advantage from a tight angle after Ilkay Gundogan’s initial effort had been saved.

The Portuguese midfielder curled home a sumptuous third on the hour, before Watford substitute Cucho Hernandez grabbed a late consolation for the hosts.

The two sides have faced each other 31 times in total, with City coming away as victors on 20 occasions.
