The magnificent Norwegian is the quickest player to that tally since the inception of the Premier League - eclipsing the previous best from Kevin Phillips, who took 28 away games.
After last season’s home hat-trick, he has now scored five goals in three Premier League appearances against Manchester United – only Sergio Agüero has netted more against them for us in the competition (eight goals in 13 games).
After winning the Golden Boot and breaking all kinds of records in the process last season, he’s once again setting a pace that the rest of the league can’t keep up with.
And his celebration at the Stretford End of Old Trafford after his penalty proves just how much he loves doing it in the sky blue his dad wore.
Here we’ll take a look at some of the other stats that caught our eye...
Total dominance
United started the quicker of the two sides but it wasn’t long before we took control.
We had 61% possession in total, completing 535 passes compared to United’s 305. 325 of our passes were in United’s half - suggesting that’s where most of the game was played.
Our xG was 3.94 - a figure even higher than Newcastle United’s 8-0 win over Sheffield United earlier this season. That demonstrates that perhaps United were lucky to have only conceded three times.
We had 21 shots on goal - 10 of which were on target. United had a total seven shots and only three on target.
Out in front
We have not been beaten in our last 50 Premier League games in which we’ve been leading at half-time.
It’s a run that stretches back to the 18 May 2021 when we lost to Brighton after already sealing the league title. In that time, we’ve won 47 and drawn on just three occasions.
The boss was keen afterwards to point out how professional his side are and this stat demonstrates just how determined the players are. If we’re out in front, there’s seemingly little chance of taking those points off us.
Brilliant Bernardo
Pep Guardiola described Bernardo after the game as one of the best players he’s ever seen.
The Portuguese international was everywhere all the time and thoroughly deserved his Man of the Match award.
It seems Bernardo loves playing our rivals. He has now been directly involved in seven goals in 11 Premier League games against Manchester United (two goals, five assists) – against no other side has he had a hand in more in the competition.
Indeed, no player has assisted more goals against United in the competition than our man. He’s done it five times – level with Eyal Berkovic.
He completed 53 passes in the game and was largely tasked with dictating the tempo in midfield in and out of possession.
Not only did he have the energy for that, he was also crucial in overlapping Jack Grealish in order to give Grealish and Josko Gvardiol dominance of the left side.
That was also the source of our second goal, with Bernardo getting to the byline and floating the ball on to Haaland’s head.
Savour the spot kick
Our first half penalty was only our second in a Premier League match against Manchester United after 53 games, while it was our first awarded at Old Trafford having played there on 27 occasions.
Premier League stats so far this season
Erling Haaland is the Premier League’s leading scorer again. He’s got 11 while nearest challengers Mo Salah and Son Heung-Min are on eight each.
Rodrigo has played the fourth most passes in the league - even despite missing two and a half games following his sending off against Nottingham Forest.
Our 6,463 passes is the most across the entire league while our 22 goals makes us the sixth highest scorers so far.
It’s our defence that’s most impressed so far, with our seven goals conceded making us the strongest backline in the competition. Ederson is one of five goalkeepers with four clean sheets - he’ll be chasing another Golden Glove should he maintain this form all season.
