City took control of proceedings early on in Yorkshire, as Phil Foden‘s pinpoint free-kick was met by Rodrigo, who’s glancing header found the bottom corner on 13 minutes.
The rest of the first half was less than plain-sailing, with Leeds throwing everything they could at City in search of an equaliser, but our defence stood strong to ensure we went into the break ahead.
And we managed to increase our lead soon after the break, as Nathan Ake hooked the ball past Illan Meslier from yet another set piece to calm the nerves in the Elland Road away end.
The result was put beyond doubt when a sumptuous pass from Phil Foden found Gabriel Jesus who smashed it into the back of the net, before Fernandinho rounded off the scoring with a late strike from the edge of the box.
That sealed us the three points and sent us back to the top of the Premier League.
