“He doesn’t do easy and the technique [for the goals] is genius,” Holloway said on the latest episode of Matchday Live.
“For me, he’s just your total footballer. He’s beautiful to watch – a bit like Roger Federer in tennis, everything he does is so sweet and well-timed.
“He makes it look easy, City are lucky to have him.”

While De Bruyne has shown his quality over a long period, teenager Rico Lewis is making a huge contribution at such a young age.
The 19-year-old scored his second Premier League goal of the season in a non-stop performance following a similar display against Aston Villa in midweek.
Ex-City defender Steve Howey says having the confidence of Pep Guardiola is a big boost but that the Academy graduate is making the most of his opportunities.
“The experience that he’s got for such a young lad is phenomenal,” he said. “Seasoned pros don’t get to play in the big games that he’s played in throughout their career.
“If you’ve got a manager like Pep Guardiola who shows you trust that must make you feel 10 feet tall.
“You’re thinking that probably the best manager in the world and he thinks I deserve a place in this team.
“His confidence must be sky-high. You’d be walking around with your chest puff everywhere you go.
“But his performances that have made the manager think like that. He’s playing well above his years. The skill level and confidence that he shows his quality on the ball, the different positions.
“Back in our day you had one position and you look at the City players and they play all over and look so comfortable and he’s one of those.”
Kit Symons was pitchside at Selhurst Park with presenter FG and hailed the City fans who travelled to South London for the lunchtime kick-off and never stopped singing.
“Brilliant away support – it was a good atmosphere in the whole ground and Palace played their part,” the ex-City defender said.
“But the away fans had a great day and enjoyed themselves.
“Everything’s geared up now for a big night in Madrid [against Real] and I’m looking forward to it.”
