Pep Guardiola and his players were back at the CFA today to both recover from the exertions of the Arsenal clash and start work ahead of the Villa game.

It’s always a busy period at this stage of the season and now is no exception with three games in seven days for the Blues.

After a solid draw on home soil against the Gunners on Sunday, Guardiola’s side will host Unai Emery’s men on Wednesday before closing out the week with an away encounter with Crystal Palace on Saturday.

City are currently third in the table and take on fourth-placed Villa in an 20:15 (UK) clash at the Etihad. Arsenal, one spot in front of City, host Luton on Wednesday, too, while table toppers Liverpool are in action on Thursday as they face Sheffield United at Anfield.

CITY V ASTON VILLA | MATCH PREVIEW

It should be a fascinating and ferocious period ahead for all three teams, with City aiming to win a record four titles in a row, Arsenal hoping to lift the crown for the first time in 20 years and Liverpool searching for the ultimate send-off for departing Jurgen Klopp.

Work on the title chase continued today as our players gathered at the training centre on Easter Monday as they put in the hard yards to begin the build up to the Villans clash.
