Forming part of the iconic ‘Holy Trinity’ alongside Colin Bell and Francis Lee, the former winger spent a decade at Maine Road between 1965 and 1975.
During that time, he not only won eight England caps, but also claimed every available domestic honour as well as the European Cup Winners’ Cup.

He has served as a Club Ambassador since hanging up his boots, while also supporting both Prostate Cancer UK after recovering from the disease in 2014, and Manchester’s Christie Hospital, a specialist cancer treatment centre.
Earlier this year, his work in raising awareness around prostate cancer also saw him awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list before he received the award from Prince William on Tuesday 7 March.
