Men return for pre-season training

England Women v Norway | 8pm kick-off

Pep Guardiola‘s squad will all report to the City Football Academy on Monday.

More than seven weeks on from the dramatic end of our 2021/22 season, attention now turns to our targets in 2022/23.

With new signings Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez and Stefan Ortega Moreno all buoyed by meeting the fans on Sunday, they will be looking to make a good early impression.

Kalvin Phillips will be looking to recover quickly from the illness that kept him out of that event.

England Women will be in action in Brighton on Monday night, looking to make it two wins from two at the start of the European Championships.

Sarina Wiegman’s squad includes seven City players - four of whom were involved in the opening night victory over Austria.

Lauren Hemp, Chloe Kelly, Keira Walsh and Ellen White all played their part while Alex Greenwood, Demi Stokes and Ellie Roebuck will be hoping to feature.

They will be up against Julie Blakstad, who scored in Norway’s 4-1 win over Northern Ireland on Thursday. UK viewers can watch the match on BBC One.

TUESDAY

Germany Women v Spain | 8pm

City’s pair of Spanish summer signings Laia Aleixandri and Leila Ouahabi will be hoping to take their Matchday 1 form into this heavyweight clash.

Ouahabi started that 4-1 win over Finland at left-back while Aleixandri was a second-half substitute. For UK viewers, this match is on BBC Two.

WEDNESDAY

Sweden Women v Switzerland | 5pm

Filippa Angeldahl played 70 minutes in the opening round of fixtures as Sweden drew with Netherlands.

Now, she will set her sights on Switzerland at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane. This game is also on BBC Two.

THURSDAY

Italy Women v Iceland | 5pm

The Academy Stadium will host the second of its three matches at this summer’s European Championships.

Belgium v Iceland attracted almost 4,000 raucous fans on Sunday afternoon and everyone will be hoping for similar weather and an equally electrifying atmosphere on Thursday evening.

FRIDAY

Northern Ireland Women v England | 8pm

Norway Women v Austria | 8pm

England’s final group game at the tournament, and it could be all to play for.

Once you add in the factor that they will be up against a fellow home nation, it’s sure to be an exciting encounter at St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton. This match will be on BBC One.

Norway v Austria, also in England’s group, will be on at the same time on BBC Three.

SATURDAY

Men’s team fly to USA

Peru Women v Venezuela | 1am

Denmark Women v Spain | 8pm

Saturday marks the start of our pre-season tour of the USA, with the men’s first team squad flying out to Houston on Saturday afternoon.

Next week, City will face Club America and Bayern Munich with both matches live on CITY+.

Earlier that day, Deyna Castellanos will play her second match at the Copa America Femenina after her thumping free-kick beat Uruguay in the first round of matches. This time her Venezuela team face Peru.

Finally on Saturday is the third and final group game at Euro 2022 for Laia Aleixandri and Leila Ouahabi‘s Spain, when the tournament favourites take on Denmark. This will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website.

SUNDAY

Sweden Women v Portugal | 5pm

It may also be crunch time for Filippa Angeldahl‘s Sweden, who will come up against Portugal in their final group game. Once again, that will be on BBC iPlayer.

Meanwhile in the USA, City will be put through the first training session of the tour.
