All the dates and information needed for Manchester City’s week ahead.

We still have a host of our men’s players away with their countries in the early part of the week before they return and prepare for the visit of Liverpool to the Etihad on Saturday.

We will hear from Pep Guardiola on Friday as he previews that exciting home game with Jurgen Klopp’s team.

Gareth Taylor is planning for two matches this week – a Continental Cup clash on Wednesday and a Barclays Women’s Super League encounter on Sunday.

The women’s boss will be asked about both of those games in his pre-match press conferences, which take place on Monday and Friday.

Our U18s are also in action this week on Saturday in the Premier League U18 Cup.

Take a look below for a full round-up of everything you need to know for another action-packed City-centric week …

MONDAY

MCWFC v Leicester City | Gareth Taylor’s press conference | 13:30 (UK)

North Macedonia v ENGLAND | Euro 2024 qualifying | 19:45 (UK)

Fresh from derby delight at United, Gareth Taylor will speak to the media on Monday as he previews our Continental Cup clash with Leicester City.

His press conference will take place at the City Football Academy with a 13:30 (UK) start and it will be shown live on mancity.com and our official app.

Don’t worry if you’re not able to watch it as it happens, though.

You can see it again in our video recap as well as being able to read our injury update and manager’s match preview as we gear up for Wednesday’s game at the Joie Stadium.

In the evening, Rico Lewis, Jack Grealish, Kyle Walker, Kalvin Phillips and Phil Foden will be looking to help end England’s Euro 2024 qualifying campaign on a high.

The Three Lions are already through to the tournament proper, which takes place in Germany from 14 June to 14 July next year.

They’ve won six and drawn one and will look to pick up three points in the final match of Group C as they face North Macedonia at Tose Proeski Arena, kick-off 19:45 (UK).

England won the corresponding fixture at Wembley 7-0, with City midfielder Phillips coming on a sub and scoring the sixth of the evening in front of a crowd of 70,708.

Tuesday

Gibraltar v NETHERLANDS | Euro 2024 qualifying | 19:45 (UK)

CROATIA v Armenia | Euro 2024 qualifying | 19:45 (UK)

Romania v SWITZERLAND | Euro 2024 qualifying | 19:45 (UK)

Nathan Ake’s Netherlands have already qualified for Euro 2024 next summer – but will be looking to complete their Group B campaign with three points.

Netherlands are currently in second spot in Group B behind France but are only three points ahead of Greece.

The top two teams from each group get through to the finals in Germany.

But even if the Dutch lose in their final game and Greece win, Ronald Koeman’s team will get through because of their record against Greece in qualifying, having won 3-0 at home and 1-0 away.

The Netherlands face Gibraltar at Estadio Algarve, with a 19:45 (UK) start.

Ake scored two in a 3-0 win in the corresponding fixture at Rotterdam’s De Kuip back in March 2023.

It’s still all to play for as Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol eye qualification for Croatia from Group D.

They’re currently second, behind Turkey, with 13 points going into their final game, a home encounter with already-eliminated Armenia in Zagreb’s Maksimir Stadium, kick-off 19:45 (UK).

Importantly, they’re just two points ahead of Wales, who themselves host group leaders Turkey at the Cardiff City Stadium, kick-off 19:45 (UK).

So victory for Mateo and Josko would ensure progress through to the tournament in Germany.

If Croatia draw and Wales win, the Welsh would get through in second due to their superior record in games between each other in qualifying.

Victory for Manuel Akanji’s Switzerland in their final Group I game would ensure top spot.

The Swiss are already through but will look to guarantee a place at the summit as they travel to current leaders, Romania, with a 19:45 (UK) kick-off at Bucharest’s Arena Naționala.

Wednesday

ENGLAND U17 v Uzbekistan U17 | FIFA U17 World Cup | 08:30 (UK)

MCWFC v Leicester | Continental Cup | 19:00 (UK) | Live on CITY+

BRAZIL v ARGENINA | World Cup 2026 qualifying | 00:30 (UK)

Joel Ndala, Lakyle Samuel, Justin Oboavwoduo and Matty Warhurst are all gearing up for England’s FIFA U17 World Cup Round of 16 clash with Uzbekistan U17.

England topped Group C after two wins and one defeat, just edging Brazil – who beat them 2-1 in their final game – into second spot on goal difference.

Ndala and Oboavwoduo have both scored two goals so far in the tournament for the Three Lions.

Their reward is a tie with Group B’s Uzbekistan, who got through as one of the four best third-placed teams, alongside Iran, Japan and Venezuela.

Match 42 of the tournament will take place at Jakarta International Stadium, with an 08:30 (UK) start.

The winners will face either France or Senegal on Saturday at Surakarta’s Manahan Stadium, kick-off 08:30 (UK).

Switching to domestic action, City Women take on Leicester City in the Continental Cup at the Joie Stadium.

The 19:00 (UK) match will be shown live on CITY+, with commentary from Mike Minay and Tash Harding.

We’ve had a strong start to our latest Continental Cup campaign, beating Everton 2-1 before a 4-3 thriller against Liverpool.

And, of course, in our last game - in the Barclays Women’s Super League - we defeated United in the Manchester derby 3-1 at Old Trafford - a real tonic heading into this busy week for the women’s team.

We’ve already come up against the Foxes in the Barclays Women’s Super League this season, winning 1-0 at the King Power Stadium in October.

After the game, you’ll get a match report on the whistle and written and video reaction from the headline makers and the boss.

You’ll also be able to watch extended highlights as well as a CITY+ full-match replay.

Friday

That’s followed by the media briefing of Gareth Taylor as he looks ahead to Sunday’s WSL home encounter with Tottenham at the Joie Stadium.

The women’s boss will face journalists from 14:30 (UK) and his press conference will also be shown live across our digital estate.

That will be followed by video and written reaction as usual.

We have already defeated Everton 2-1 away and Peterborough 5-1 at home in Group D.

We are top with six points, Everton are second with three just ahead of Peterborough on goal difference while the Baggies are at the foot of the table with no points.

We will progress to the quarter-finals of the competition with victory over Albion.

There will be a match report after the game and reaction from the manager.
