Nedum Onuoha says City must bounce back from the disappointment of Wednesday night's defeat at Real Madrid to focus on the Premier League.

City know that wins in each of the final four matches of the season will seal a fourth Premier League title in five years.

Former City defender Onuoha, speaking on Matchday Live after Wednesday’s defeat, has called on the current squad to come together for Sunday’s visit of Newcastle United.

He said: “The realisation now is that you have four games left this season and if you win those four games, you win the Premier League title.

“This [Champions League elimination] is very disappointing but you’re not going to have a chance to rectify it until August.

“You’re the number one team in the league right now and if you want to mope about this situation, you will end up being the second. The beauty of this situation is there is one thing that is still very much in your hands.”
