Find out who the Scout is backing to collect vital points in Fantasy Premier League when City travel to Newcastle.

Pep Guardiola return to league action with a trip to St James’ Park on Saturday 13 January, with kick-off scheduled for 17:30 (UK).

It follows our emphatic 5-0 win over Huddersfield last time out in the FA Cup which secured passage into the fourth round of the historic competition.

The Blues are currently enjoying a strong eight match unbeaten streak – including seven wins – and we’ll be aiming to extend that record in pursuit of an unprecedented four straight Premier League titles this term.

Our meeting with Eddie Howe’s side represents the third time we will have faced the Magpies this season following a 1-0 home success at the Etihad Stadium in August before a narrow 1-0 Carabao Cup defeat in the north east in September.

And there could be a number of decisions FPL managers need to make before another tantalising Premier League weekend.

CITY STAR

Phil Foden (£7.9m) is in fine all-round form ahead of Manchester City’s visit to Newcastle United in Gameweek 21 of Fantasy Premier League.

The midfielder has scored four goals and supplied two assists in his last four appearances across all competitions.

Indeed, he has delivered attacking returns in each of Guardiola’s team’s last three Premier League outings, claiming a team-high 25 points in that period.

The underlying numbers back up Foden’s major influence on the champions.

His 11 shots and 10 chances created were both more than any team-mate during those three fixtures.

Newcastle’s struggles in defence could offer further encouragement for us on Saturday evening. Over the last six Gameweeks, they have conceded 15 goals and 27 big chances, both more than any other side.

ONE TO WATCH

Anthony Gordon (£6.1m) is the hosts’ form player, with five goals and five assists in 10 home matches.

DIFFERENTIAL

Elsewhere, Luton Town’s Alfie Doughty (£4.4m) is a low-owned asset with strong potential.

Wing-back Doughty visits Burnley on the back one goal and four assists in his last five appearances.
