Dean Smith’s resurgent Norwich side have claimed seven points out of a possible nine in their last three Premier League matches, while they also earned a 1-0 FA Cup Fourth Round win away to Wolves in that time.

With the Canaries battling for survival, it’s all to play for at Carrow Road, leaving FPL managers with some difficult selection dilemmas ahead of Saturday’s 11:00 deadline.

Thankfully, as part of our weekly series, the Scout is on hand to ease the burden with some Gameweek 25 tips below...

City star

Aymeric Laporte’s (£5.8m) impact at both ends of the pitch can reward managers once again as Manchester City visit Norwich City in Gameweek 25 of Fantasy Premier League.

The centre-back has climbed into third place in the defender standings after producing six or more points in nine successive Gameweeks.

Laporte combined two goals and two assists with six clean sheets and five bonus points during that spell, totalling 64 points.

The underlying numbers highlight his major goal threat for the Carrow Road encounter.

Indeed, Laporte’s total of 25 shots inside the box is more than any other defender in 2021/22 Fantasy.

He produced his season-best haul of 14 points in his previous clash with the Canaries, scoring in a 5-0 home win for Pep Guardiola’s side in Gameweek 2.

Opponent to watch

Teemu Pukki (£5.8m) boasts the main threat for Norwich, with a goal and an assist in his last two matches.

Chart topper: Pukki’s haul of 79 FPL points is the most of any Norwich player this season, 25 more than second-placed Tim Krul.

Other Premier League pick

Elsewhere, Bruno Fernandes (£11.7m) and Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.5m) offer strong captaincy options for Manchester United’s Double Gameweek 25 against Southampton and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Under Ralf Rangnick, Fernandes’ 22 chances created and Ronaldo’s 28 shots in the box are each at least twice the totals of any other team-mate.
