PEP GUARDIOLA PREVIEW
The Blues boss spoke about the dangers of Forest at his prematch press conference on Friday.
“When you are third in the table after eight, 10 fixtures, okay,” he said.
“But when you are there with 11 games left it and still you are third, it’s because you have done really, really well.
“You cannot be there unless you have done good things. Impressive, I would say.
“[They are] really compact and aggressive on transitions.”
PREVIOUS MEETING
City ran out 3-0 winners in December’s reverse Premier League fixture at the Etihad Stadium.
First-half goals from Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne gave the hosts a commanding lead at the break, but we didn’t take our foot off the gas after the interval.
Jeremy Doku then rounded off the scoring with a sublime solo effort as we collect three points on a chilly night in Manchester.
LAST TIME OUT
City secured passage into the FA Cup quarter-finals with a battling 3-1 win over Plymouth Argyle last time out.
After the visitors had broken the deadlock, Nico O’Reilly equalised with a fine header before he handed us the lead with 15 minutes remaining.
Kevin De Bruyne extended our advantage further when tucking home Erling Haaland’s cross in the closing stages.
