However, the jersey has also been worn in sky blue by Brazilian striker Jo (2010-2011) and former Zimbabwe international Benjani (2008-2010).
For the West Midlands club, Nunes was handed No.27 after wearing No.8 for Sporting during his spell at the Jose Alvalade Stadium between 2019 and 2022.
On the international stage, the 25-year-old has been seen wearing No.8, No.18 and No.23 - with him wearing the latter for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The capture of Nunes represents our fourth summer signing following the arrivals of Mateo Kovacic, Josko Gvardiol and Jeremy Doku.
