2017

Rampant City score two goals in five minutes to lead West Ham United 2-0 at the London Stadium with just 21 minutes played. Kevin De Bruyne (17) and David Silva (21) put Pep Guardiola’s side in a commanding position and Gabriel Jesus’s first goal for the club on 39 has the points all-but sealed before the break. Yaya Toure adds a second-half penalty to complete a 4-0 win that leaves City 10 points behind leaders Chelsea.

2006

City brush aside Newcastle United at the Etihad to pile pressure on Magpies boss Graeme Souness. Albert Riera and Andy Cole score before the break and Darius Vassell adds a third midway through the second-half to complete a 3-0 win for Stuart Pearce’s side.

1958

Jimmy McAdams fires a hat-trick for City in a 4-1 home win over West Brom. It takes his total to 13 for the season and continues the Blues’ goal glut that sees Les McDowall’s free-scoring (and conceding) side find the net in all but one of their 42 league games that season.
