Guardiola‘s side headed into the game with a 2-1 advantage from the first leg, and added to this aggregate lead through Sane as he netted the opener just before half time.

City made it 2-0 on the night minutes after the break as Aguero scored his second goal of the tie, to all but secure our place in the final.

However, the hosts hit back through Marlon Pack on 65 minutes, before Aden Flint headed in deep into injury time to level the game up.

City were not done, though, as De Bruyne restored our lead in the final moments to ensure we booked our place at Wembley in winning style.

2018: A single Sergio Aguero goal proved enough to defeat Burton Albion 1-0 in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg.

The damage had already been done by Guardiola and his side, after an emphatic 9-0 first leg victory over the Brewers at the Etihad Stadium.

Aguero‘s strike in the first half secured the 10-0 aggregate win, to setup a second Carabao Cup final at Wembley in as many years.
